As sassy bon-vivant essayist Kiki Dakota, wrote
"Innercourse," a weekly sex humor column that became this alternative
weekly's most popular
regular column. Also wrote by special assignment, including
international travel articles and annual Elvis Parade coverage.

In conjunction with Innercourse, performed readings and did public appearances to promote the paper and build readership.

Wrote cooking column, "The
Neurotic Gourmet," for this weekly neighborhood paper (circ. 30,000).
Also wrote high concept restaurant review, "Literary Morsels,"
monthly, reviewing local restaurants in literary voice (e.g., d'Bronx
deli reviewed in the voice and meter of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl," or
the Jerusalem Cafe in the voice of Rudyard Kipling). A little too
esoteric for its readership, nonetheless, a fun and challenging
experiment.

American hunting, fishing, and food preparation techniques for this
short-lived, glossy monthly outdoors magazine.
